Four Noble Truths


Sidartha Guatama saw a man one day who was suffering. He hated seeing that man suffer so he spent six years going through
India trying to figure out a way to stop suffering. He found answers but they weren't enough. One day he was sitting under a tree and all the answers came to him. He finally found a way to end suffering! They were laws that you had to follow to end suffering. He called these laws The Four Noble Truths.Sidartha Guatama believed that if you followed the Four Noble Truths there would be no more suffering.
What are The Four Noble Truths


The noble truths are...

1.) Life is filled with suffering.
2.) Suffering is caused by people's wants. People may want more pleasure, more power, a longer life, etc.
3.) Suffering can be ended if people stop wanting things.
4.) To stop wanting things people must follow 8 basic laws called the Eightfold Path.
